Velvet Rhythm Radio is a licensed internet radio station that operates under DMCA guidelines. All music submitted must be original work owned by the artist or properly licensed.
By submitting your music, you confirm that:
You own the rights to the recording and the composition.
The music is registered with a performing rights organization such as BMI, ASCAP, or SESAC.
The recording is properly mastered and meets broadcast quality standards.
You grant Velvet Rhythm Radio a non-exclusive license to air the submitted recording.
Submissions that do not meet these requirements will not be considered. Velvet Rhythm Radio reserves the right to decline any submission at our discretion.
What makes a strong submission
- Right fit: we program R&B, classic R&B, soul, smooth jazz, traditional jazz, blues, Southern Soul, gospel, quiet storm and New Orleans brass band. Music outside these formats is unlikely to air.
- Radio-ready audio: send a clean, properly mastered file - WAV or high-quality MP3. If your song contains explicit lyrics, include a clean radio edit.
- Accurate metadata: correct track title and artist spelling exactly as you want them announced on air.
- A working link or upload: one reliable source is enough - a streaming link or your audio file.
- A short description: two or three sentences on the record's style and story help our reviewers place it in the right show.
