Audio File Submissions
When you submit music for airplay consideration, your audio file is securely stored on our platform. Submitted files are only accessed by Velvet Rhythm Radio staff for review purposes. Files from declined submissions may be deleted after the review process is complete. Accepted tracks may be retained for broadcast purposes.
Analytics & Tracking
Velvet Rhythm Radio uses privacy-respecting first-party analytics to understand how listeners use our site. Our internal analytics store only non-personal data: page views, stream starts, listening duration, form submissions, and device category (mobile, tablet, or desktop). Each visitor is assigned a random anonymous session ID stored in their browser. We do NOT store IP addresses, raw user agents, names, email addresses, song names, dedication text, uploaded filenames, or form contents in our analytics. Analytics events are validated and rate-limited on our server. Optionally, we may integrate Google Analytics 4 and Meta Pixel if those services are configured by the station owner. These third-party services may set cookies and collect data according to their own privacy policies. No third-party tracking scripts load unless a valid ID has been configured.
Data Retention
We retain your information only as long as necessary: • Analytics events (ListenerEvent records): retained for up to 12 months for trend analysis, then may be aggregated or deleted by an admin • Newsletter subscriptions: retained until you unsubscribe • Song requests: retained for operational records for the duration of the current broadcast season • Community event submissions: retained while the event is pending or approved, and for operational records thereafter • Music submissions and uploaded audio files: retained for the review period; files from declined submissions may be deleted by an admin after review is complete; accepted tracks may be retained for broadcast purposes • Stream health records: retained for up to 90 days for trend analysis Admins can export or delete any data at any time through the Admin dashboard. We do not claim a deletion schedule unless the implementation enforces it. To request deletion of your personal data, contact us using the information below.
